LGV and HGV training courses tailored to our clients individual needs for a future career on the road. We are proud of our quality training for all licence categories and pass rates for our students.

We promise to take the stress out of driver training.

Category C

Taylors Training offers DVSA accredited training for drivers who want to gain a Category C licence. This is the licence that is held by most LGV drivers in the UK. It qualifies drivers to operate vehicles including tipper trucks, refuse lorries, articulated lorries and box trucks.

Category C+E training

Category C+E

Taylors Training offers DVSA accredited training for drivers who want to gain a Category C+E licence. This is the highest of the LGV licence classes. Only drivers that obtain this standard can operate the largest and heaviest HGV and construction equipment on the road.

Initial Driver CPC (Mod. 2 & 4)

To work as a Professional Driver you must complete Driver CPC and carry your Driver Qualification Card (DQC).

For first time holders of a DQC or for newly qualified drivers this is called INITIAL DRIVER CPC and is taken in two parts: Case Study Theory Test (Module 2) and Practical Demonstration Test (Module 4)

If you have a number of drivers we can come to you and train on site. Check your periodic training record: direct.gov.uk/checkdrivercpc

ADR training

ADR Training

ADR driver training is specialist training equipping drivers with the skill and knowledge to transport hazardous goods by road. All drivers carrying dangerous goods within the scope of the Carriage of Dangerous Goods Regulations require a Driver Training Certificate issued by the DVLA.

Forklift Training

Forklifts come in many shapes and sizes, and to safely use one within a working environment requires training and qualifications. Our accredited Forklift training covers counterbalance, reach trucks over 8 metres lift and pivot steer forklift training.

Vehicle Mounted Offloading

The vehicle mounted fork-lift truck (aka Moffett) and the truck mounted crane (aka Hiab) are specialist equipment mounted to vehicles and used for offloading when accessibility is a challenge. They require specialist training so operators and others remain safe.

When you train with Taylors you know you are receiving instruction from those that actually do it for a living. Day in - day out.
